Behind the Name
"Tambak Overlanders"
"Tambak" directly translates to "Land-Bridge" from Malay. The name was chosen as a tribute to the Singapore-Johore Causeway (Malay: Tambak Johor-Singapura), in which Farhan & Zar consider the middle point of the causeway as the start point of initial overland rides into Malaysia.

After crossing into Thailand, Farhan & Zar earned the rights to call themselves "overlanders", having crossed more than two international borders on motorcycles. Hence the name "Tambak Overlanders"

"Highway Shield" Logo
Highway Shield Shape
Usually closely associated with the United States Numbered Highway System, its logo; known as the "U.S. Route Highway Shield" inspired the many bikers' pit-stops across Thailand & Malaysia.
Usually sold as stickers to overlanders who will proudly stick it on their motorcycles to proclaim that the machine has traveled to that pit-stop.
The pit-stops themselves such as Route 41 Phatthalung & Betong Route 410 have become bikers' attractions in their own right, and riders that made it there consider it to be an achievement, as getting there can be quite technical & challenging; even at times dangerous. The shape of the Tambak Overlanders logo is a tribute to the bikers' pit-stops.
Red & Blue Colors
The colors red & blue are chosen as it is a neutral color that Farhan & Zar can agree upon. It is also the colors of the U.S. Interstate Shield, adding to the "highway" association.
Coincidentally, it is also the colors of Liqui Moly; the proud sponsor & benefactor of Tambak Overlanders.

Adventure Motorcycle
Though the logo shows a BMW GS, it's supposed to neutral & visual representation of an adventure motorcycle. Built for rugged & long-distance travel, an adventure motorcycle is made for the purpose of exploring & going off the beaten path. It is rather a metaphor for "adventure" rather than about the make & model of the bike itself.
Despite not riding a proper adventure bike initially, both Farhan & Zar are inspired by its capabilities, so much as to have done it on Class 2B motorcycles to Laos.

Bikers Community (TOBC)
The Tambak Overlanders Biker Community (TOBC) is the biker group arm of Tambak Overlanders.

All events & rides organized for our fans & followers will come under the banner of TOBC.
Meant to be a community of riders of all ages, nationality & regardless of type of bike, TOBC strives to be a community of friendly, like-minded riders sharing the passion of overlanding & motorcycle adventure.
Logo Symbolism
The adventure bike, carried over from the "Highway Shield" logo, is a symbol of Tambak Overlanders (Farhan & Zar) with the Singapore Lion Symbol, signifying a community of riders behind them. Thick red band represents the united passion of motorcycles, blurring the lines of age, nationality, experience & bike type.

The words, "Tambak Overlanders" & "Singapore Bikers Community" surround the symbolism. Additionally, the text is also translated to Malay as "Komuniti Bikers Singapura", the National Language of Singapore, exemplifying the role of the group to a national level, with the goal of making the bikers community in Singapore a vibrant & flourishing one.
